a bit heavier than what we normally run into around town. We really like
that. It's always great so see something completely different. Tonight at
The 19th Hole, it was exactly what we expected. On stage was the heavy metal
band, When The Deadbolt Breaks. For more than a decade, When the Deadbolt
Breaks have carved a niche for themselves within the interplay of extreme
genres. They are no less at home in grind than they are in pummeling sludge
or ambient soundscaping, casting forth triumphant riffs or proffering murder-dirge
nods at a volume level that can only be considered violent. Led by guitarist/vocalist
Aaron Lewis, their four to-date full-lengths read as a chronicle of threat
that even unto the Connecticut-based outfit's moniker tells of some lurking
danger in the dark. When the Deadbolt Breaks are immediately recognizable
in style and malice, and they continue to push forward into a filth and
emotion. So, as you can expect, we've got some great grind for you on HMNTV
- Houston Music News Television to check out right now. Just tune into http://www.houstonmusicnews.net
and start watching When The Deadbolt Breaks. The 19th Hole Grill & Sports Bar up in the Woodlands is where you can go to bang your head! Jailhouse Saloon The Weeds Perform at the Jailhouse Saloon Tonight we're at The Jailhouse Saloon to see The Weeds. The Weeds are a pretty popular band here at The Jail, and it's no surprise. These guys put on a pretty good show. Tonight's show was filled with a little of everything... rock... country... you name it. From Sublime's "Santeria" to Johnny Cash's "Fosolm Prison Blues, The Weeds mixed it up with some great tunes. They even managed to squeez out a little Santana and Grand Funk Railroad for us. It definitely was a great evening. Jailhouse Saloon is the little repurposed jail-turned bar in Spring! Now instead of people serving time there, now they serve up ice cold beer and live music! BFE Rock Club Kissing Judas Performs at The BFE Rock Club We dropped by The BFE Rock Club this evening to be a part of Kissing Judas's "live" recording session for their upcoming CD / DVD entitled "Break My Fall." The BFE Rock Club was filled this night with their fans all wanting to be a part of this big occasion. The band was really tight for this show. Everybody was performing at the top of their games and the songs came out flawlessly. Group participation at this show was definitely off the wall and right on target. Kissing Judas has some great original songs and we can hardly wait to hear the 'live' CD and watch the DVD when it comes out. It's always great to be a part of something like this. In the meantime you won't have to wait to catch a couple of the songs off the CD and DVD. We've captured them on video and have them posted on HMNTV - Houston Music News Television for you to check out right now. If you like what we have here, we know you're going to go out and get the CD / DVD when it comes out, so consider this your preview to greatness. Here right now is Kissing Judas performing "Chesire". As Dave tells us, "Everyone knows one, a slick talking two-faced motherf@#er. On the other video we have they are performing "Overkill Me". Dave describes this as, "The song speaks for itself, ultimate desire, pure lust." Kissing Judas is Kyle Cousins (Vocals), Dave Sullivan (Guitar), Matthew Vu (Bass), Corey Sullivan (Drums), and Morgan Sullivan (Backup Vocals).
Our buddy Kendall Mason called us up and wanted us to come and see the debut of his new lineup at The BFE Rock Club this evening, so we headed out there for the show. We've always enjoyed Kendall's singing and his choice of backing musicians has always been impeccable, so we knew we were in for a treat, and right we are. From the moment the band started to perform, they held our attention. The camaraderie among the band was fantastic and they just blended together beautifully. Joining Kendall on stage was his long time guitarist, Bill Nelson. Bill has been performing with Kendall for years. The new members of the band are Jeff Spike Wong on bass. This guy just steals the show as he bounces all over the place performing some of the tastiest bass licks you've ever heard. Keep an eye out for this guy folks. On drums, keeping the backbeat flowing is Mark Moreno. Mark really knows how to keep this band together and on time. The combination of the four of them really made for an excellent show. And what can we say about Kendall's new songs. They were extremely good. All in all, this was one of the best performances from Kendall we've ever seen. He just gets better and better. His vocals were spot on. Anyway, we've got a couple of videos from the show to share with you, so if you tune into HMNTV - Houston Music News Television, you can check them out right now, so sit back and start watching now at http://www.houstonmusicnews.net Nocturnal Maddness Performs at The BFE Rock Club It was time for a "Metal Fix', so we headed over

That's something we're certainly glad about. Leslie does a great job recreating those great old Country Classics. In addition to Classics, Leslie also performs his own material. He released his first single, "Cowboy's Dream" in 2017 amd has quite a few other originals as well. Leslie performed some great material from Radney Foster ("Texas In 1880"), Cross Canadian Ragweed ("Alabama"), The Mavericks ("What A Crying Shame") and even George Strait ("Check Yes Or No"). Katie's Bar Buddy Whittington Performs at Katie's Bar in Bailiff When we saw that Buddy Whittington was performing at
Katie's Bar in Bailiff, we hightailed it over there to see him. Buddy is
just an extraordinary guitarist and always puts on a fine performance. For
those of you who didn't know, Buddy was a member of the legendary John Mayall's
band for many years, where he learned all the secrets of being a fine Blues
musician. There's nothing like training under the best, and without a doubt,
John Mayall is one of the best. During the early 1980s, he formed and sang
with his own band, The Sidemen. In 1991, they opened for John Mayall and
when Coco Montoya left the Bluesbreakers in 1993, Mayall called him to take
his place in the band. In Mayall's band Whittington sang occasionally and
contributed to songwriting. When, after fifteen years, Mayall disbanded
the Bluesbreakers, Whittington continued to gig in Texas, but also joined
forces with Roger Cotton and Pete Stroud, who had toured with Mayall as
part of Peter Green's band. Since then, Buddy has either released or performed
on 14 albums with other performers, so there's a lot of his work out there
to be enjoyed. For us, we really enjoy seeing him perform live and Katie's
is more often the place we catch him at. As we expected, tonight's show
at Katie's was a lot of fun and Buddy was performing at his best. Actually,
he's always at his best. It's always a good show. Right now we'd like to
share a couple of performances from this Katie's show with you, so here
he is on HMNTV - Houston Music News Television at http://www.houstonmusicnews.net.
